SOLAR AND RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT FINANCING TRAINING

Introduction

The Solar and Renewable Energy Project Financing Training is designed to equip professionals with advanced knowledge and practical skills in structuring, evaluating, and financing renewable energy projects. As global demand for clean energy financing, solar power investment, renewable energy project development, green bonds, climate finance, carbon markets, and sustainable infrastructure funding continues to rise, organizations must build capacity in renewable energy financial modeling and risk assessment. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of solar project bankability, funding mechanisms, and investor engagement strategies.

Renewable energy projects, particularly solar photovoltaic (PV), wind energy, hydro power, biomass, and geothermal projects, require robust financial planning and structured financing approaches. Participants will learn how to conduct feasibility studies, develop financial models, calculate Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), assess internal rate of return (IRR), net present value (NPV), and manage project risks. The training emphasizes project finance structures such as Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), blended finance, debt financing, equity financing, and green climate funds.

The course also explores global renewable energy financing frameworks and institutions such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), World Bank, African Development Bank, and the Green Climate Fund. Participants will gain insights into climate risk mitigation instruments, power purchase agreements (PPAs), feed-in tariffs, and carbon credit monetization strategies that enhance renewable energy project viability.

This training is ideal for professionals in energy, finance, infrastructure development, banking, and climate investment sectors seeking to strengthen their expertise in renewable energy project appraisal, solar energy investment analysis, sustainable finance strategies, and green project structuring. By the end of the program, participants will confidently design, evaluate, and finance bankable renewable energy projects aligned with global sustainability goals.
