Course Introduction:
The Human Rights and Protection of Migrants course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the human rights issues related to migration and the necessary tools to protect and advocate for the rights of migrants. This course aims to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to address the challenges faced by migrants and to promote a rights-based approach in migration policies and practices.

Course Duration: 5 Days
Course Outline:
Day 1:
- Introduction to migration and its various forms
- Overview of international human rights instruments relevant to migrants
- Understanding the concept of non-discrimination and equality in the context of migration
Day 2:
- Examining the vulnerabilities and human rights challenges faced by migrants
- Overview of international labor standards and the rights of migrant workers
- Addressing the specific needs of women, children, and other vulnerable groups among migrants
Day 3:
- Legal frameworks for the protection of migrant rights at national and international levels
- Exploring the role of national laws and policies in safeguarding migrant rights
- Introduction to regional human rights mechanisms and their impact on migrants
Day 4:
- Advocacy strategies for promoting and protecting migrant rights
- Building partnerships and coalitions to advance migrant rights
- Engaging with media and using communication tools effectively
Day 5:
- Case studies and interactive exercises to analyze practical challenges and solutions
- Identifying innovative approaches and best practices in the field
- Developing action plans for participants' specific contexts and areas of work
General Notes

· The participant must be conversant in English
· Presentations are well-guided, practical exercises, web-based tutorials, and group work. Our facilitators are experts with more than 10 years of experience.
· Upon completion of training the participant will be issued with a Foscore development center certificate (FDC-K)
· Training will be done at the Foscore development center (FDC-K) centers. We also offer inhouse and online training on the client schedule
· Course duration is flexible and the contents can be modified to fit any number of days.
· The course fee for onsite training includes facilitation training materials, 2 coffee breaks, a buffet lunch, and a Certificate of successful completion of Training. Participants will be responsible for their own travel expenses and arrangements, airport transfers, visa application dinners, health/accident insurance, and other personal expenses.
· Accommodation, pickup, freight booking, and Visa processing arrangement, are done on request, at discounted prices.
· Tablet and Laptops are provided to participants on request as an add-on cost to the training fee.
