Course Overview

The Resilience Measurement Frameworks Training Course is an advanced professional development programme designed to equip humanitarian practitioners, development professionals, government officials, disaster risk management specialists, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) professionals, researchers, policy makers, United Nations agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community development practitioners, resilience advisors, programme managers, and donor-funded project staff with practical knowledge and technical competencies for designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating resilience measurement systems. The course emphasizes resilience assessment methodologies, resilience indicators, vulnerability analysis, disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate adaptation, humanitarian response, livelihood resilience, food security, social protection, adaptive programming, results-based management, evidence-based decision-making, and institutional resilience. Participants will acquire internationally recognized approaches and practical tools to measure resilience outcomes and strengthen organizational and community resilience programmes.

The growing frequency of climate-related disasters, humanitarian crises, conflicts, pandemics, economic shocks, and environmental degradation has increased the demand for reliable resilience measurement frameworks capable of assessing preparedness, adaptive capacity, recovery, sustainability, and long-term development outcomes. Effective resilience measurement supports programme design, policy development, accountability, donor reporting, resource allocation, and adaptive management by generating evidence on community capacities, vulnerabilities, exposure to hazards, institutional performance, and recovery progress. 7.     Onsite Training Inclusions: The course fee for onsite training covers facilitation, training materials, two coffee breaks, a buffet lunch, and a Certificate of Successful Completion.
