Course Overview

The Digital Inclusion and Accessibility Training Course is a comprehensive professional development program designed to equip professionals working in government institutions, humanitarian organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, development partners, educational institutions, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, community-based organizations, and the private sector with the knowledge and practical skills required to design, implement, monitor, and manage inclusive digital transformation initiatives. The course focuses on digital inclusion, accessibility standards, assistive technologies, inclusive digital service delivery, accessible web and mobile applications, digital literacy, universal design, information and communication technologies (ICT), artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, digital governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and evidence-based digital innovation. Participants will strengthen their capacity to ensure equitable access to digital services for persons with disabilities, women, youth, older persons, marginalized communities, refugees, and underserved populations.

Digital transformation has become a key driver of sustainable development, economic growth, humanitarian response, education, healthcare, financial inclusion, and public service delivery. However, millions of people continue to face barriers due to disability, poverty, inadequate infrastructure, limited digital literacy, language diversity, and inaccessible technologies. Organizations are increasingly required to comply with international accessibility standards while promoting digital equity and inclusive innovation. This course introduces internationally recognized frameworks and standards including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), ISO accessibility standards, Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), Results-Based Management (RBM), Universal Design Principles, Human-Centered Design (HCD), Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS), and digital inclusion policies. 6.     Flexible Duration: Course durations are adaptable, and content can be adjusted to fit the required number of days.

7.     Onsite Training Inclusions: The course fee for onsite training covers facilitation, training materials, two coffee breaks, a buffet lunch, and a Certificate of Successful Completion. Participants are responsible for their travel expenses, airport transfers, visa applications, dinners, health/accident insurance, and personal expenses.

8.     Additional Services: Accommodation, pickup services, flight booking, and visa processing arrangements are available upon request at discounted rates.
