Course Overview
The Humanitarian Media Relations Training Course is designed to equip humanitarian professionals, communication officers, media relations specialists, government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, development practitioners, and emergency response teams with the knowledge and practical skills required to establish, manage, and strengthen professional relationships with the media during humanitarian emergencies and development interventions. Effective humanitarian media relations are essential for promoting accurate public information, increasing awareness of humanitarian crises, mobilizing resources, strengthening advocacy, protecting affected populations, supporting emergency response coordination, and enhancing organizational transparency and credibility.
