Course Overview

The KoboToolbox for Humanitarian Data Training Course is designed to provide humanitarian professionals, monitoring and evaluation specialists, researchers, emergency responders, development practitioners, and project managers with practical knowledge and advanced skills in using KoboToolbox for digital data collection, humanitarian assessments, beneficiary registration, monitoring and evaluation (MEAL), humanitarian information management, disaster response, needs assessments, protection monitoring, food security surveys, health assessments, WASH programs, education projects, livelihoods assessments, and evidence-based decision-making. The course emphasizes KoboToolbox form design, XLSForm development, mobile data collection, offline data capture, GPS mapping, multimedia integration, real-time dashboards, cloud-based data management, data quality assurance, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Power BI visualization, humanitarian analytics, and digital transformation to improve the efficiency, accuracy, accountability, and effectiveness of humanitarian operations.

Participants will gain practical experience in designing professional KoboToolbox questionnaires, configuring advanced survey logic, deploying forms on Android devices, collecting offline and online data, integrating GPS coordinates, photographs, audio recordings, barcodes, signatures, and multimedia files, managing enumerators, validating field data, synchronizing cloud databases, cleaning datasets, and producing analytical reports. The course also covers humanitarian information management workflows, beneficiary targeting, vulnerability assessments, rapid emergency needs assessments, digital beneficiary registration, data protection, ethical data collection, and donor-compliant reporting.
