Nutrition and Food Security Mapping Training Course

Introduction

Nutrition and Food Security Mapping is a specialized training course designed to equip nutritionists, food security analysts, public health professionals, GIS specialists, humanitarian practitioners, development planners, researchers, and policy makers with practical skills in applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial analysis, remote sensing, and geospatial intelligence to nutrition assessment, food security monitoring, vulnerability analysis, and evidence-based decision-making. As food insecurity, malnutrition, climate change, population growth, and humanitarian crises continue to affect communities worldwide, organizations increasingly require geospatial tools and analytical frameworks to identify vulnerable populations, monitor food systems, assess nutritional outcomes, and support sustainable development interventions. This course provides participants with practical methodologies for integrating GIS into nutrition and food security programs.
