Today's humanitarian and development organizations operate in rapidly changing environments characterized by technological advancement, funding constraints, climate change, emerging humanitarian crises, digital disruption, and increasing stakeholder expectations. Participants learn how to establish innovation systems that promote creativity, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous organizational improvement.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in innovation planning, idea generation, innovation portfolio management, digital transformation, process improvement, service design, business model innovation, strategic leadership, data-driven decision-making, artificial intelligence applications, knowledge management, stakeholder engagement, innovation financing, risk management, impact measurement, and organizational learning. Practical exercises, simulations, innovation labs, collaborative group work, digital demonstrations, organizational assessments, and real-world humanitarian and development case studies enable participants to apply innovation methodologies in solving operational challenges while strengthening governance, sustainability, inclusion, transparency, and organizational resilience.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will possess the strategic, managerial, technical, and leadership competencies required to lead innovation initiatives, improve organizational effectiveness, accelerate digital transformation, optimize resource utilization, strengthen program delivery, enhance stakeholder engagement, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
