Inclusive Humanitarian Programming Training Course

Course Overview

The Inclusive Humanitarian Programming Training Course is designed to equip humanitarian professionals, development practitioners, government institutions, non-governmental organizations, United Nations agencies, and emergency response teams with the knowledge and practical skills required to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate humanitarian programs that are inclusive, equitable, rights-based, and responsive to the diverse needs of crisis-affected populations. Inclusive humanitarian programming ensures that women, men, girls, boys, older persons, persons with disabilities, refugees, internally displaced persons, minority groups, indigenous communities, and other vulnerable populations have equal access to humanitarian assistance, protection, recovery, and resilience-building interventions. This course provides practical guidance on integrating inclusion principles throughout the humanitarian programme cycle while complying with international humanitarian standards, protection principles, and donor requirements.

Participants will develop practical competencies in inclusive needs assessments, vulnerability analysis, stakeholder engagement, community participation, gender equality, disability inclusion, age-sensitive programming, protection mainstreaming, accountability to affected populations (AAP), safeguarding, localization, conflict sensitivity, and culturally appropriate humanitarian interventions. The course emphasizes evidence-based planning, inclusive project design, risk management, humanitarian coordination, resource mobilization, monitoring and evaluation, and adaptive management approaches that ensure no one is left behind. Through practical exercises, simulations, collaborative learning, and real-world humanitarian case studies, participants will learn how to strengthen participation, accessibility, accountability, and social inclusion throughout humanitarian operations.

The training also explores emerging themes including climate-resilient humanitarian programming, digital inclusion, inclusive cash and voucher assistance, inclusive disaster risk reduction, social protection systems, community feedback mechanisms, inclusive humanitarian innovation, data disaggregation, inclusive information management, localization, and partnerships with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), women-led organizations, youth groups, and local community structures. Participants will learn practical tools for conducting inclusive assessments, developing inclusive indicators, strengthening safeguarding systems, promoting meaningful participation, and measuring the effectiveness of inclusive humanitarian interventions while aligning with international humanitarian principles and sustainable development objectives.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will possess the expertise to develop and manage inclusive humanitarian programs that improve equitable access to humanitarian services, strengthen protection outcomes, enhance community resilience, and promote dignity and human rights for all affected populations.   5. Training Locations: Training sessions are conducted at Foscore Development Center (FDC-K) centers. We also offer options for in-house and online training, customized to the client's schedule.
  6. Flexible Duration: Course durations are adaptable, and content can be adjusted to fit the required number of days.
  7. Onsite Training Inclusions: The course fee for onsite training covers facilitation, training materials, two coffee breaks, a buffet lunch, and a Certificate of Successful Completion. Participants are responsible for their travel expenses, airport transfers, visa applications, dinners, health/accident insurance, and personal expenses.
  8. Additional Services: Accommodation, pickup services, freight booking, and visa processing arrangements are available upon request at discounted rates.
  9. Equipment: Tablets and laptops can be provided to participants at an additional cost.
