Water Quality Mapping and Monitoring Training Course

Water Quality Mapping and Monitoring is a comprehensive training program designed to equip participants with advanced knowledge and practical skills in the assessment, mapping, monitoring, and management of water quality using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, environmental monitoring technologies, spatial analysis, and water quality modeling tools. Water quality is a critical component of sustainable development, public health, environmental conservation, agriculture, industry, and ecosystem protection. Increasing challenges such as pollution, climate change, urbanization, industrial discharge, agricultural runoff, and population growth have intensified the need for effective water quality monitoring systems and evidence-based water resource management strategies. This course provides participants with practical expertise in water quality assessment, pollution source identification, environmental monitoring, geospatial analysis, and decision-support systems for sustainable water management.

The course introduces participants to modern water quality mapping methodologies that integrate GIS technologies, satellite imagery, environmental sensors, water sampling techniques, hydrological databases, laboratory analysis, and spatial modeling tools. Participants will learn how to collect, process, integrate, analyze, and visualize water quality data to support pollution control, watershed management, environmental compliance, public health protection, and water resource planning. Through practical exercises and real-world case studies, participants will gain hands-on experience in water quality monitoring network design, contaminant mapping, spatial interpolation, water quality index development, and environmental risk assessment.
