Gender-Responsive Water, Energy, and Natural Resource Management Training Course

Course Introduction

Gender-Responsive Water, Energy, and Natural Resource Management is a specialized professional training course designed to equip policymakers, environmental specialists, water resource managers, energy professionals, climate change practitioners, gender experts, development professionals, project managers, and sustainability practitioners with the knowledge and practical skills required to integrate gender equality into the management of water resources, energy systems, and natural resources. As climate change, environmental degradation, population growth, and resource scarcity continue to place pressure on ecosystems and livelihoods, there is increasing recognition that sustainable resource management must address gender inequalities and ensure equitable access, participation, decision-making, and benefit-sharing among women, men, youth, and marginalized populations. This course provides practical approaches for developing inclusive, resilient, and sustainable resource management systems.

The course explores the interconnected relationship between water security, renewable energy, natural resource governance, climate resilience, environmental sustainability, gender equality, ecosystem conservation, sustainable development, and green economy principles. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of integrated water resources management, sustainable energy systems, natural resource governance, climate adaptation strategies, environmental policy frameworks, and community-based resource management approaches.
