Gender-Based Violence, Gender Analysis and Development, and Gender Mainstreaming, Analysis and Planning in Humanitarian Action Course

Course Description:
The Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Gender Analysis and Development, and Gender Mainstreaming, Analysis and Planning in Humanitarian Action Course is designed to strengthen participants’ understanding and practical skills in addressing gender inequalities and promoting gender-responsive programming in humanitarian and development contexts. This comprehensive course provides an in-depth exploration of GBV prevention and response, gender analysis frameworks, gender-sensitive planning, and mainstreaming gender perspectives into all stages of project cycles. Participants will learn to apply gender tools to assess the impact of programs, design inclusive interventions, and ensure accountability to affected populations.

The training emphasizes the importance of integrating gender equality, women’s empowerment, and human rights principles into humanitarian action and development programs. Through participatory learning and real-world case studies, participants will examine the root causes of gender inequality, identify barriers to inclusion, and develop practical strategies to promote equitable access to resources, services, and opportunities. The course draws on international best practices from UN agencies, INGOs, and government programs working to eliminate gender-based discrimination.

By the end of the training, participants will be equipped to conduct gender analyses, implement GBV-sensitive interventions, and mainstream gender perspectives across humanitarian, development, and policy frameworks.
